Robeck International Freight - A Corporate Digital Presence Built from a Blank Page

Robeck is a trusted international freight and logistics company. They had the reputation, the track record, and the client relationships. What they didn't have was a website - or a word of web copy. We built both, and added ongoing SEO to grow their visibility in a competitive market.

The Brief

Robeck International Freight is a logistics and freight forwarding company offering international shipping, cargo handling, customs clearance, and transport solutions. With years of industry experience and a strong reputation for reliability and precision, Robeck operates in a sector where credibility is everything.

RubyWeb – then WeDev.Africa – was brought in to build a professional corporate website from scratch. There was no existing site to migrate, no existing web copy to work from, and no digital baseline to build on. The brief covered everything: visual design, content creation, lead generation integration, and ongoing SEO support to grow visibility in an actively competitive market.

The Challenge

Building a B2B corporate website from a blank page requires more than design and development. Content is the foundation – and for a logistics company where trust and precision matter, every word needs to reflect the quality of the service behind it. Writing from scratch meant understanding the business, the industry tone, and the buyer decision-making process before a single page was drafted.

Logistics and freight forwarding is a crowded digital market. Ranking organically requires not just a clean technical foundation but an active, sustained SEO programme.

  • No existing website - full build from scratch required
  • No existing web copy - all content needed to be written from the ground up
  • Corporate presence online needed - the site had to clearly convey services, credibility, and value proposition
  • Lead generation integration required - CTAs and enquiry forms throughout the site to capture qualified interest
  • SEO foundation needed for a competitive freight and logistics market
  • Ongoing visibility growth required - a launch alone would not be sufficient in a crowded B2B space

Our Approach

We ran content development and design in parallel. The messaging was shaped first – working directly with the Robeck team to understand their service offering, tone, and the language their clients use – then the copy was written and the design applied to it.

Foundational SEO was built into the site architecture from the start. Keyword mapping, metadata, internal linking, and URL structure were all planned before development began. A monthly offsite SEO programme was scoped to run from launch.

Architecture & UX Decisions

The site was structured around Robeck’s core service areas, with dedicated pages for each – allowing for keyword targeting, clear information architecture, and natural enquiry flows. CTAs and lead capture forms were placed at logical points throughout the site.

The visual design was built to project professionalism and precision – clean layout, clear typography, and a restrained colour palette that communicated credibility without being generic.

The Build

The core deliverable was a full-stack corporate WordPress website – designed, written, and built from scratch with lead generation integration and an ongoing SEO programme from launch. Key deliverables included:

  • Full corporate WordPress website design and development from a new build
  • All on-site copy written from scratch – service pages, about sections, value propositions
  • Custom lead generation forms with strategic CTA placement across key service pages
  • Mobile-first responsive layout for professional experience across all devices
  • Keyword mapping, metadata, internal linking, and URL structure planned from day one
  • Fast load times and intuitive navigation throughout
  • Monthly offsite SEO campaign from launch – backlink building and keyword tracking
  • Ongoing performance monitoring and content updates

The Outcome

Robeck International Freight launched with a professional corporate website that matched the credibility of the business behind it. Clear CTAs and lead capture forms drove enquiries from the first week. Monthly SEO activity continues to grow visibility and organic reach in the freight and logistics market.

For the first time, Robeck had a clear digital voice – professional, precise, and aligned with how their clients think about international logistics.

Frequently Asked Questions

By starting with the business, not the keyboard. We work directly with the client to understand their services, their client base, and what a buyer needs to hear to feel confident making contact. The copy reflects the business accurately and persuasively.
With a two-track strategy - foundational on-site SEO built into the architecture from day one, and a sustained offsite programme that builds domain authority over time. Neither works without the other.
Clarity and friction reduction. Potential clients need to understand what you do, why you are credible, and how to reach you - in that order. Buried contact forms and vague service descriptions lose enquiries.
For a new domain in a competitive market, meaningful organic visibility typically begins to develop after three to six months of consistent activity. Traffic and ranking improvements compound from there with sustained effort.
Yes. We work from a brief - understanding the business, the market, and the target client - and develop the visual direction and messaging as part of the project.
Offsite SEO is activity that happens outside the website - primarily building backlinks from other credible websites. Google uses backlinks as a signal of authority and trustworthiness. A site with strong, relevant backlinks ranks more competitively than one with none.
